Jean Rogers, founder and former CEO of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board, will join Blackstone Group in January in the new position of global head of environmental, social and governance, said Emilie Stanton, spokeswoman, in an email.
Christine Anderson, global head of external affairs, had been overseeing ESG initiatives at Blackstone, Ms. Stanton said. Ms. Anderson will continue to serve as global head of external affairs and help oversee Blackstone's ESG efforts.
Ms. Rogers will oversee Blackstone's corporate ESG team, leading ESG strategy, integration, reporting and engagement.
"Jean's significant domain expertise will be invaluable as we work to advance diversity, decarbonization and good governance across our portfolio," said Jonathan Gray, Blackstone president and chief operating officer, in a news release.
