Anne Reaney was named as head of commercial strategy at nature-focused asset manager Rebalance Earth.
The position is new, a spokesperson confirmed.
Reaney will be a core part of Rebalance Earth’s aim of promoting nature as a viable and investable solution in order to reduce business and climate risks, a news release said. She leads the firm’s commercial strategy and strategic partnerships, working with business leaders, institutional investors and policymakers.
The asset manager is preparing to launch a fund, with a target of scaling to £10 billion ($12.2 billion) over the next decade.
“Anne has a unique talent for turning innovative ideas into viable business strategies,” said Rob Gardner, CEO and co-founder, in the news release. “She understands how to align nature with corporate priorities, ensuring businesses don’t just see it as a ‘nice-to-have’ but as fundamental to their resilience and profitability. Under her leadership, we will deepen engagement with institutional investors.”
Reaney was co-founder of Persefoni U.K., a climate management and accounting platform for enterprises and financial institutions, and was also the firm's head of sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Rebalance Earth has expanded its senior leadership team over recent months, including with the hire of Eoin Murray as CIO.
