Melissa McDonald joined MSCI as global head of ESG and climate indexes.
It is a new position. Ms. McDonald started Sept. 7 and is based in London. She reports to Diana Tidd, global head of index and chief responsibility officer, and Remy Briand, global head of ESG and climate.
Ms. McDonald previously served as global head of product, equities and responsible investment at HSBC Global Asset Management. Details about her replacement were not immediately available. She has also held senior leadership roles at AXA Investment Managers.
