Kevin Walkush, portfolio manager at Jensen Investment Management, was named head of environmental, social and governance initiatives at the firm.
It is a new position, said spokesman Cole Ebel. Mr. Walkush, who has been a portfolio manager at the active equity manager since 2007, will be responsible for building the firm's current ESG capabilities and will lead the assessment of the firm's ESG-related opportunities and risks.
Mr. Ebel said Mr. Walkush will continue with his portfolio management responsibilities in the Jensen Quality Growth and Global Quality Growth portfolios.
As of May 31, Jensen Investment Management had $13.2 billion in assets under management.
