Michelle Dunstan was appointed chief responsibility officer for Janus Henderson Group, the asset manager said in a news release Wednesday.
Ms. Dunstan will join the firm Jan. 9 and be based in New York, a spokesman said. She reports to CEO Ali Dibadj.
Ms. Dunstan held a similar role with AllianceBernstein, where she developed the ESG strategy and co-managed an ESG-focused equity portfolios. She was replaced in October by Erin Bigley, whose most recent role at AllianceBernstein was head of fixed income responsible investing, according to a separate statement provided by a spokeswoman.
Janus Henderson had $275 billion in assets under management as of Sept. 30.
