Craig Campbell has bee named as head of responsible investment in the U.K. at professional services firm Aon, according to a news release.
The move is an internal hire, with Campbell having been a senior investment consultant at Aon since April 2022. He will retain those duties in addition to his new role.
In his new position, Campbell will be expected to draw on the firm’s expertise in risk, modelling, asset manager research and asset allocation to support better responsible investment decisions and develop innovative client offerings.
Maria Johannessen, senior partner and U.K. head of investment at Aon said: “Craig brings deep expertise and experience in responsible investment, an area that is growing in importance for investors and continues to be a very active area for our clients.
“Sustainability, weather and climate underpin many of the top risks and opportunities they face, and Craig is perfectly positioned to drive the development of the creative and integrated solutions our clients will need in the future.”
In July, Aon was appointed as an adviser to the £350 billion ($448 billion) Local Government Pension Schemes in England and Wales’ additional voluntary contributions framework in the U.K.
