Sustainable U.S. money manager Capricorn Investment Group has made a minority investment in Osmosis Investment Group.
The investment by Capricorn's Sustainable Investors Fund, which closed in the first quarter, makes the firm a large minority shareholder of Osmosis Holdings Ltd., and also makes possible the launch of the Osmosis Sustainable Market Neutral Strategy for U.S. investors, according to a May 21 news release from Osmosis.
The strategy will be a levered replication of the current UCITS fund currently not available to U.S. investors. The amount of the investment was not disclosed.
As a result of the investment, Michaela Edwards, partner at Capricorn Investment Group, joins the board of Osmosis Investment Management.
Osmosis Investment Management had $1.3 billion in assets under management as of April 30.
Ms. Edwards and other officials at Capricorn Investment Group could not be immediately reached for further information.
