Thomas Coudert was named head of sustainability, core investments at AXA Investment Managers.
The position is new, a spokesperson said.
Based in Paris, Coudert reports to Marion le Morhedec, global head of fixed income and member of the AXA IM management board, according to a statement.
Coudert has been with AXA IM since 2004, and was head of fixed income sustainability since 2021. He retains those responsibilities, the spokesperson said.
"Thomas' appointment to this highly strategic role is excellent news and recognizes his expertise and the valuable experience he has gained over the last 17 years. Thomas will notably be working closely with investment teams across the core business unit to foster global coordination on ESG topics," said le Morhedec in a news release.
AXA IM is an investor in green, social and sustainable markets, and had assets under management of €842 billion ($891 billion) as of Sept. 30.
