Annie Chor Joyce has joined Amundi US as head of environmental, social and corporate governance, effective Monday.
Geoffrey Smith, a spokesman for Amundi US, confirmed by email that Ms. Joyce assumes a newly created position.
Amundi US, which is a subsidiary of Paris-based asset manager Amundi, said Ms. Joyce will be responsible for "driving the ESG strategic direction for the U.S., collaborating closely with senior leadership, global ESG teams, investment management, marketing, and distribution teams across the firm globally," the release said.
Ms. Joyce reports to both Lisa Jones, president and CEO of Amundi US and head of the Americas, and Elodie Laugel, chief responsible investment officer of parent organization Amundi, the news release added.
"Annie has tremendous experience across a diverse range of organizations and issues related to responsible investing, and her background provides a strong foundation for her to lead our ESG strategy in the US," Ms. Jones stated in the release.
Ms. Joyce comes to Amundi US from MSCI ESG Research, where she served as vice president-ESG consultant and led its fixed-income ESG coverage. MSCI ESG Research is a subsidiary of index provider MSCI Inc.

Parent corporation Amundi had about $2.09 trillion of assets under management as of Sept. 30.
