Ohio State University's long-term investment pool returned a net 1.2% for the fiscal year ended June 30.
The return fell short of its 7% benchmark for the period, said Karina S. Brown, spokeswoman for the Columbus-based school.
For the three and five years ended June 30, the investment pool returned an annualized net 7.7% and 4.6%, respectively. Benchmark information was not provided for those time periods.
The pool returned a net 7.7% for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2018.
Among the pool's broad asset classes, global fixed income returned a net 2.8% for the fiscal year ended June 30, below its 7.9% benchmark, while global equities returned a net 1.9%, below its 6% benchmark, and real assets returned -7.7%, below its 6.6% benchmark.
