Britt Harris, president and chief executive officer of University of Texas/Texas A&M Investment Management Co., Austin, will resign from UTIMCO on June 30 after six years at the helm.
At that time, UTIMCO's current chief investment officer, Rich Hall, will be promoted to CEO and president, said a news release Thursday.
A UTIMCO spokesman said in an email that Mr. Harris “has not publicly announced his plans.”
Mr. Hall will retain his title as CIO, the spokesman said. Mr. Hall first joined UTIMCO as CIO in early 2018. Previously, he served as a managing director, head of private equity, and member of the executive and investment committees at Harvard Management Co.
UTIMCO managed a total of $67.4 billion as of Feb. 28, comprising $53.8 billion in endowment funds and $13.6 billion in operating funds, according to its latest monthly performance report.
