University of Rochester's $2.6 billion long-term investment pool returned a net 3.7% for the fiscal year ended June 30, according to a report on the Rochester, N.Y.-based university's website.
The return exceeded its benchmark return of 2.9%, according to the report.
The investment pool returned a net 6.3% for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2019. The report did not provide annualized returns for the three, five and 10 years ended June 30.
By asset class, the best performer for the fiscal year ended June 30 was private equity, which returned a net 18.8%, followed by opportunistic public equities at a net 7.2% (above its 2.1% benchmark); hedge funds at 4.5% (2.9%); international developed markets equities, -6.8% (-4.8%); emerging markets equities, -13% (-3.4%); and real assets, -13.3%.
