University of Nebraska Foundation, Lincoln, returned a net -1.3% for the fiscal year ended June 30.
The net return of the foundation's $1.3 billion main endowment fell short of its policy benchmark of 0.1%, said Clem Pella, investment operations manager.
For the three, five and 10 yeas ended June 30, the foundation returned an annualized net 3.3%, 3.7% and 6.7%, respectively, compared with the respective benchmarks of 4.6%, 4.7% and 6.5%.
The foundation returned a net 2.1% for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2019.
Mr. Pella said the foundation does not disclose information related to asset classes.
The foundation oversees a total of $2.6 billion in assets, including a total of $1.7 billion in endowment assets.
