Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, is searching for a chief investment officer for its $2 billion endowment.
The university is seeking a CIO to lead a team of four investment professionals and one operational executive, according to a job listing posted on TCU's website Aug. 6.
The selected CIO will replace James R. Hille, who retired on July 30, spokeswoman Holly Ellman said in an email. Mr. Hille joined the university as its first CIO in May 2006 after previously serving as CIO of the $179.9 billion Texas Teacher Retirement System, Austin.
Jason R. Safran, the endowment's senior asset manager, has been serving as interim CIO since Aug. 1, according to TCU's website.
Ms. Ellman said the university hopes to complete the search by the end of the year.
