Texas A&M University System's $1.6 billion endowment returned 24.8% for the fiscal year ended Aug. 31.
The endowment's return exceeded its benchmark of 23.8% for the period, according to an endowment report posted on the College Station-based system's website.
For the three, five and 10 years ended Aug. 31, the endowment returned an annualized 11.4%, 10.9% and 9.2%, respectively, above their respective benchmarks of 10%, 10.1% and 8.2%.
The report did not disclose whether the returns were gross or net of fees. Returns by asset class and their respective benchmarks were not provided in the report.
