University of Iowa Center for Advancement saw its $1.4 billion endowment return 31.9% for the year ended June 30, according a report posted on the Iowa City-based center's website.
For the three, five and 10 years ended June 30, the endowment returned 9.2%, 9.8% and 7.6%, respectively. Benchmark returns and returns by asset class were not provided.
The endowment's target asset allocation is 50% to global equities, 20% real assets, and 15% each to fixed income and diversifying strategies.
The center is an independent non-profit entity also known as the State University of Iowa Foundation that solicits contributions for the benefit of the University of Iowa.
Ashlie Smith, spokeswoman for the center, could not be immediately reached for additional information.
