Sharcus Steen was named chief investment officer of the $2.3 billion University System of Maryland Foundation, Adelphi, according to an Oct. 13 news release.
Steen previously was interim CIO since the departure of Samuel Gallo after more than 10 years in the post in July 2022, and Steen also served as director of investments since 2017.
Foundation spokesperson Leonard Raley could not be immediately reached for further information.
