Vishnu Srinivasan was named chief investment officer at Ohio State University, Columbus.
Mr. Srinivasan, who joined the university's investment office May 18 where he now oversees the university's $4.9 billion long-term investment pool, was previously managing director at the Pritzker Family Foundation, Chicago. An asset size for the Pritzker foundation was not available.
He replaces John C. Lane, who will retire June 12 after assisting in the transition process, spokeswoman Karina S. Brown confirmed.
Mr. Lane joined the university in 2014 from the $100.2 billion Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, Columbus, where he had been CIO since 2009.
The long-term investment pool includes about $2 billion in endowment assets.
