University of Notre Dame's $13.3 billion endowment returned a net 7.4% for the fiscal year ended June 30.
The endowment's return was well above the strategic policy benchmark return of 3%, according to the South Bend, Ind.-based university's annual report.
For the five and 10 years ended June 30, the endowment returned an annualized net 7.7% and 10.2%, respectively, above the respective policy benchmark returns of 5% and 6.5%.
The endowment returned a net 7.2% for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2019.
Returns by asset class were not provided in the annual report.
As of June 30, the endowment's asset allocation was 38.1% private equity, 37.8% public equities and 24.1% multistrategy portfolio.
University spokesman Dennis Brown could not be immediately reached for further information.
