Ana Yankova was named chief investment officer of Mount Holyoke College, confirmed Anne F. Keating, founder of executive recruiting firm Fraser Keating Associates, which conducted the search.
The position is new.
Ms. Yankova will be responsible for managing the South Hadley, Mass.-based college’s $780 million endowment and generating 25% of the college’s annual operating revenue. She will work closely with the board’s investment committee and report directly to college President Sonya Stephens.
Ms. Yankova was a partner at Cambridge Associates. Her responsibilities are being assumed by other members of the firm’s investment team, a Cambridge spokeswoman confirmed via email.
College spokeswoman Christian Feuerstein was not immediately available for additional information.
