Paul Chai has been named chief investment officer and associate vice president of investments at Kansas State University Foundation, Manhattan.
He succeeds Lois Cox, senior vice president of investments and CIO, who retired in June after 18 years at the foundation, said a news release Thursday.
Mr. Chai most recently served as the foundation's senior director of investments, having initially joined the organization in 2018 after 12 years in a senior investment partner role at Grandway Asset Management, the release said.
KSU Foundation's long-term investment pool was valued at $945 million as of March 31.
A spokeswoman for KSU said by email that applicants for Mr. Chai's former position "are currently being screened."
