Katharine Krieger was named vice president and chief investment officer of the J. Paul Getty Trust, Los Angeles, a spokeswoman said.
Krieger, who will oversee its $8.6 billion endowment, will join the trust on April 15. She will replace James Williams, who is also vice president and will retire June 28. Following Krieger’s arrival, Williams will retain the vice president title until his departure to ensure a smooth transition, the spokeswoman said.
Krieger was previously at The Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation and The Broad Art Foundation, Los Angeles, where she oversaw over $2 billion in assets for both foundations and the Broad family office. Broad Foundations spokesman Tim Carter could not be immediately reached for further information.
