K. Niles Bryant was named senior vice president and chief investment officer at Bowdoin College.
He will oversee the management of the Brunswick, Maine, college's $1.8 billion endowment effective July 1, spokesman Doug Cook said in an email.
Mr. Bryant, who joined the college as director of investments in April 2020, will succeed Paula Volent, who plans to leave the college effective June 30.
Ms. Volent, who has been CIO of the college since the summer of 2000, said in a Feb. 11 news release she is leaving "to pursue the next chapter of her career."
Mr. Cook did not have further information regarding Mr. Bryant’s current position.
