Dan Mikulskis was named CIO of U.K. defined contribution multiemployer plan The People's Pension, Crawley, England, a spokesman confirmed.
Mr. Mikulskis will start in September and will replace Jon Cunliffe, who was investments managing director and left last year. Mr. Cunliffe could not be reached to comment about his next appointment.
The People's Pension has £21 billion ($26.4 billion) in assets.
"It's fantastic that Dan will be joining us later this year," CEO Patrick Heath-Lay said in a news release Thursday. "We have already had amazing success with The People's Pension helping millions of people save £21 billion towards their futures. Our investment activities will continue to grow over the coming years, so we have a real responsibility to support the trustee in continuing to drive forward a robust investment strategy that provides greater financial security for our 6 million members."
Mr. Mikulskis was a partner at U.K. consultant Lane, Clark & Peacock. A spokeswoman could not be reached to comment about a replacement.
