Sixty-one education and communication projects were honored March 11 at Pensions & Investments' 2025 Eddy Awards ceremony held in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., as part of P&I's annual Defined Contribution East conference.
This year's competition featured awards in six categories: special projects, plan transitions, financial wellness, pre-retirement preparation, ongoing investment education, and conversions/403(b) consolidations.
First-place winners (and their service providers) in each category are listed below. A full list of the 61 campaigns will be in the March 17 issue of P&I.
Special projects
For corporate plans with more than 5,000 participants, Nestle USA placed first. Voya Financial is the service provider.
First place in the corporate plan category with 1,000 to 5,000 participants went to Trek Bicycle (Transamerica).
The first-place winner in the not-for-profit/other category for plans with more than 5,000 participants was Legacy Health (Lincoln Financial).
For public plans with more than 5,000 participants, there was a first-place tie between Maryland Supplemental Retirement Plans (Nationwide) and Employees Retirement System of Texas (Empower).
Among entries in the providers’ generic category, ADP Retirement Services won first place.
Plan transitions
Coca-Cola Co. (Transamerica) placed first in the corporate plans category.
In the not-for-profit/other category for plans with more than 1,000 participants, Gonzaga University (TIAA-CREF, CAPTRUST) achieved the top score.
The University of Alabama System (TIAA-CREF) was first among public plans with more than 1,000 participants.
Financial wellness
William K. Walthers (Francis) placed first among corporate plans with fewer than 1,000 participants.
For corporate plans with more than 5,000 participants, The Walt Disney Co. achieved the top score (plan sponsor only).
Emmes Group was first among corporate plans with 1,000 to 5,000 participants.
ChristianaCare (Lincoln Financial) was the leader among sponsors in the not-for-profit/other category for plans with more than 5,000 participants.
The University of Texas at Dallas (plan sponsor only) placed first in the public category for plans with more than 5,000 participants.
ADP Retirement Services won the generic category for service providers.
Ongoing investment education
For corporate plans with more than 1,000 participants, Sony Corp. of America (T. Rowe Price) was the top winner.
Among the not-for-profit/other sponsors with more than 5,000 participants, Intermountain Health (T. Rowe Price) placed first.
J.P. Morgan Asset Management was the leader among services providers in the generic category.
Conversions/403(b) consolidations
Securian Financial (Principal Financial Group) won first place for corporate plans with 1,000 to 5,000 participants.
The University of North Carolina (TIAA-CREF) placed first in the not-for-profit/other category for plans with more than 1,000 participants.
Pre-retirement preparation
Wellmark (Principal Financial Group) scored highest among corporate sponsors with more than 1,000 participants.
In the not-for-profit/other category for plans with 1,000 to 5,000 participants, North Mississippi Health Services Inc. (Lincoln Financial) placed first.
ADP Retirement Services won the generic category for service providers.
