Scott Buffington, a former executive with Envestnet, has joined Paychex as senior director of retirement services sales.
He succeeds Seth Parise, who moved over to the company's professional employer organization side of the business, a spokesperson for Paychex said.
Buffington will lead the Paychex national retirement sales organization's development and oversight of go-to-market strategy, strategic partnerships and field education, the spokesperson said.
Buffington was previously head of sales for the workplace solutions division at Envestnet, a position he held for nearly two years. He was founder and CEO of 401kplans.com, which Envestnet acquired.
