Keith Overly, executive director of the Ohio Public Employees Deferred Compensation Program, Columbus, is retiring on March 31, 2020, spokesman Josh King confirmed.
Mr. Overly, who has been executive director of the $14 billion 457 plan since October 2003, plans to travel and relax but still remain active attending conferences. Mr. King said the board hopes to find Mr. Overly's replacement before he leaves to ensure a smooth transition.
The board has issued an RFP for an executive search firm, available on the program's website. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. EDT on Sept. 20. A selection is expected on Oct. 16.
The exact timeline for finding Mr. Overly's replacement will be set by the chosen firm.
