Kelly O'Donnell was named executive vice president and head of workplace at Edelman Financial Engines, spokeswoman Nicole Hakimi said.
The position is new. Ms. O'Donnell will lead the firm's workplace business, which oversees $174 billion in defined contribution assets for its corporate DC plan clients. She is based in Boston and will report to Larry Raffone, the company's president and CEO.
Ms. O'Donnell was chief administrative officer and chief risk officer at Edelman Financial Engines. The company has not announced replacements for the roles.
Edelman Financial Engines manages $212 billion in total assets.
