Consulting firm Economic Group Pension Services acquired third-party administrator Dissinger Associates Plan Administration & Design, EGPS said in a news release.
Terms of the deal, which closed March 1, were not disclosed.
Economic Group Pension Services CEO Daniel Liss said in the Thursday release that the acquisition will better position the firm to bring value to its partners and clients. EGPS serves more than 5,500 benefit plans for business owners and their employers, the firm said.
As part of the transaction, Dissinger Associates' top leaders — President Kenneth Mabie and CEO Jeffrey Davidson — will serve as regional vice presidents in the Encino, Calif., office of EGPS.
Dissinger Associates provides retirement plan administration and actuarial services to more than 500 employers, according to the news release.
