Stephan Scholl, a senior executive at enterprise software company Infor, was named chief executive officer of Alight Solutions.
Mr. Scholl succeeds Chris Michalak, who will become a senior adviser to Alight and "aid in a smooth transition" of his role, Alight said in a news release.
Mr. Scholl was a senior executive at Infor between 2010 and 2018, including serving as president from 2012 to 2018, according to Alight. Prior to that, he served for more than a decade in various senior capacities at both Oracle and PeopleSoft.
Mr. Scholl assumed his new role as Alight's CEO effective April 13.
"Stephan is a highly talented executive with deep experience helping build businesses into global leaders in the fast-growing cloud enterprise software and services sector," said Daniel Henson, chairman of the board of directors of Alight, in a statement.
Mr. Henson thanked Mr. Michalak for his service in "helping to build Alight into the leading provider of mission-critical benefits, payroll and cloud solutions to some of the world's largest and most complex companies" and wished him "the best moving forward."
The announcement comes after the recent disclosure of an investigation by the Department of Labor's Employee Benefits Security Administration into cybersecurity breaches that victimized Alight clients. The company, along with Abbott Laboratories, was sued last April by a former Abbott employee claiming the defendants violated their fiduciary duties when $245,000 was stolen from her 401(k) account.
