Tracy Blackwell is retiring as chief executive of the Pension Insurance Corp., the U.K. insurer for defined benefit funds.
The PIC board will now proceed with a formal search for a successor, considering internal and external candidates, a news release said. Blackwell has committed to supporting the board in ensuring an orderly transition.
“It has been a privilege to work at, and lead, the PIC," Blackwell said in the release. "I never imagined, when we started the business nearly 20 years ago, that the company would grow into the market leader it is today. I am so proud of what we have achieved together, and it has only been possible because of the dedication, commitment and talent of the people at the PIC."
Blackwell joined the PIC in 2006 as chief investment officer. She has been CEO since 2015.
