Cook Street Consulting, an investment and fiduciary consulting firm, agreed to be acquired by Morgan Stanley, according to a Form ADV filing. Terms were not disclosed.
A Morgan Stanley spokeswoman confirmed the agreement but didn't provide additional comment.
The agreement was signed Dec. 31 and is expected to close March 10, said the Form ADV filed Feb. 2.
As of Sept. 30, Cook Street had about $71.5 billion in assets under advisement, the Form ADV said. The firm's 163 clients serve 975,000 employees and beneficiaries, the company website said.
Cook Street provides customized services to retirement plan sponsors, corporate accounts, foundations and endowments, the filing said.
Cook Street will retain its brand identity and become part of Morgan Stanley's wealth management institutional consulting business. All 30 employees of Cook Street will join Morgan Stanley.
