Matt Scott was named senior director at Willis Towers Watson's Climate and Resilience Hub, a spokesman said.
The role is new. Mr. Scott leads the hub's policy, financial regulation and green-finance advice business, which helps investors to manage climate-related risks and opportunities as the world seeks to transition to a low-carbon economy.
"We are all delighted that Matt has joined Willis Towers Watson. He brings unique, long standing expertise and practical experience that will further enhance the first-class climate advice and services we provide," John Haley, CEO of Willis Towers Watson, said in a news release Wednesday.
Mr. Scott was head of the climate hub at the Bank of England. He also led the U.K. government's work on its sustainable investing policy, the Green Finance Strategy.
