Shelly Heier, president of investment consulting and OCIO firm Verus, is leaving the firm effective Sept. 30.
She is leaving to take on a "global leadership role at a financial services firm," a Sept. 16 news release from Verus said.
Heier departs after nearly 25 years at the firm, formerly known at Wurts & Associates, where she began as a research analyst in July 2000 and eventually ascended to the role of president in 2013.
Jeffrey MacLean, Verus CEO, and Kraig McCoy, its chief financial officer, will absorb Heier's management responsibilities, the news release said.
