U.K. pension fund adviser Cartwright appointed Ian McKnight as a senior adviser.
A spokesperson confirmed that the role is part time.
McKnight will initially focus on business development, and is responsible for supporting and developing new strategies across the firm, which provides actuarial, investment and administration services to U.K. pension funds.
“Ian joins us at a really exciting time for the organisation as we continue our expansion across the U.K. market and enhance our services in areas such as project management and risk transfer," said Robin Pearce, operations director, in a news release. "The U.K. pensions landscape has never been so interesting, or so challenging, and Ian will help us to spread our message and expertise far and wide."
McKnight was one of three investment staff that transferred from the Royal Mail Pension Plan, London to BlackRock as part of an £8.8 billion ($11.3 billion) OCIO agreement.
Paul Sheffield is the current CIO for Royal Mail's defined benefit fund at BlackRock, confirmed a spokesperson for the company.
