David J. Smith, senior vice president, and Jonathan Farr, vice president, are joining investment consultant Callan's alternatives consulting group.
Both will report to Pete Keliuotis, executive vice president and head of the alternatives consulting group.
Based in Summit, N.J., Mr. Smith started April 5, said a news release Tuesday. He will focus on client servicing, implementing private markets portfolios, manager evaluations and strategic planning.
Mr. Smith was previously treasurer at Syracuse University, Syracuse, N.Y. He was replaced in October by Erin Archer, former DePaul University treasurer, said a news release from the university at the time.
Based in Atlanta, Mr. Farr will focus on private equity and private debt, and will join Callan on May 10, the Callan news release said. He was previously an investment officer at Southern Co., Atlanta. Officials there could not be immediately reached for further information.
Callan spokeswoman Elizabeth Anathan did not respond to requests for further information.
