Catherine Beard joined Callan on Monday as senior vice president in the firm's alternatives consulting group.
Ms. Beard, who is based in the firm's Chicago office, is responsible for client consulting and research across the spectrum of alternative investment strategies with a focus on private credit and diversifying strategies, spokeswoman Elzabeth Anathan said.
Ms. Beard reports to Petras "Pete" Keliuotis, executive vice president and head of alternatives consulting.
"Catherine brings tremendous value to the Callan team, including extensive experience and a strong reputation as an investor, consultant and allocator. We expect her to contribute strongly to our research, consulting, education and business development efforts across alternatives at Callan," Mr. Keliuotis said in a news release.
Ms. Beard was principal and director of research at specialist private credit funds-of-funds manager Blueprint Capital Advisors. She left the firm in September 2018. Jacob Walthur Jr., co-founder and managing principal at Blueprint Capital, did not immediately respond to a request for information about Ms. Beard's replacement as director of research.
