Trevor Castledine was named senior director, private markets, at bfinance, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. Castledine reports to Peter Hobbs, managing director and head of private markets, at the consulting firm.
Mr. Castledine and Thibault Sandret, director for private markets who was hired Jan. 1, were brought on following the departure of Niels Bodenheim, senior director for private markets. Mr. Bodenheim was named head of alternative credit at NN Investment Partners.
"We are delighted to have Trevor join the team, bringing extensive experience in private markets including private credit, private equity and real estate, as well as his deep understanding of the needs of pension funds," Mr. Hobbs said in a news release.
Mr. Castledine was formerly private credit investment director at Local Pensions Partnership, London, the pool of local authority pension funds with £17.4 billion ($22.7 billion) in assets.
Simon Davy was named head of private markets, following Mr. Castledine's late 2018 departure, a spokesman said. Mr. Davy, who was appointed to a new role, oversees private credit investments, along with private equity, real estate and infrastructure, the spokesman added.
