Investments Operations Manager
Teachers' Retirement System of Louisiana (TRSL) seeks an experienced professional to serve as an investments operations manager. TRSL maintains a multi-billion-dollar portfolio with a sophisticated and diversified asset allocation. This work requires: analytical independent judgment and decisions; communications with senior investment, accounting, legal personnel, and TRSL Board of Trustees; and specific technical understanding of the TRSL investment policy and Louisiana Revised Statutes. The incumbent will oversee the defined benefit plan investment operational functions such as cash management and public market portfolio transitions. In addition, the position will provide investment management oversight of external vendors of the defined contribution plan (Optional Retirement Plan - ORP). The incumbent will also perform transitions, trading, serve as back-up for in-house passive index portfolio management, and other duties assigned by management.
SALARY RANGE
The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $180,000 annually.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a working knowledge of the public investment markets, economic theories, investment principals, and investment accounting practices. Must possess strong analytical, data analysis, problem solving, and portfolio management skills.
Must possess at least three years of work experience in finance, banking, investments, accounting, or a related field.
Must possess a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
A graduate degree in finance, banking, investments, accounting, or a related field will substitute for one year of work experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, or related field
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
