Assistant Senior & Investment Officer
Our client, the Washington State Investment Board (WSIB) manages $128.2B in AUM. WSIB’s long term, diversified investment strategy has made Washington’s public pension fund one of the best performing in the nation (the State pension system ranks amongst the 10 best funded pension systems in the country). WSIB is currently seeking both an Assistant Senior Investment Officer and an Investment Officer in its Risk Management & Asset Allocation (RMAA) unit.
These are opportunities to have meaningful impact at a well-resourced, high quality institutional investment organization. The RMAA unit is uniquely positioned at the WSIB to apply a broad working knowledge in its investment management and research activities.
PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Assistant Senior Investment Officer
• Bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, economics, finance, statistics or closely related field; CFA designation strongly preferred. CAIA designation in addition to the CFA designation is viewed favorably
• Ideally eight (8) or more years of investment experience preferably in an institutional investment setting
• Working knowledge of private markets asset classes strongly preferred. Multi-asset class work experience, either direct or through manager oversight functions, a strong positive

Investment Officer
• Bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, economics, finance, statistics or closely related field; CFA designation strongly preferred. CAIA designation in addition to the CFA designation is viewed favorably
• Ideally three (3) or more years of investment experience preferably in an institutional investment setting
• Knowledge of modern portfolio theory, capital markets, asset allocation modeling, investment risk management tools, investment portfolio mechanics, and general knowledge of all investment asset classes
