The CalHR voluntary retirement program is seeking an experienced individual to join our Executive Management team as the Administrator of the Savings Plus Program.
Department Description:
The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) administers a voluntary 401(k) Thrift Plan and a 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan. It additionally administers a mandatory Part-time, Seasonal, and Temporary Employees Retirement Program (PST Program). CalHR administers these plans as the Savings Plus Program. The purposes of the Plans are to encourage and increase savings opportunities for state employees to better provide for and to supplement their retirement income, including income received from their defined benefit retirement plan. The Administrator reports directly to the Chief Deputy Director of CalHR and is responsible for managing 23 staff. The Program is self-funded and currently valued at $20.3 Billion with an operating budget of $14 million.
