• Deposits $550 in January into the health savings accounts of employees participating in its wellness program. Employees who earn less than $100,000 a year will receive an extra $300 in their health savings accounts. The company also contributes up to $200 per month toward the flexible spending accounts of employees making less than $100,000 annually to help with dependent care.
• The Charles Schwab Foundation Scholars in Financial Planning has endowed a $3.5 million scholarship program for students from underrepresented communities. Schwab also partners with historically Black colleges and universities and Hispanic-serving institutions at career fairs and other job-oriented events. Its Neurodiversity at Work program also assists those with cognitive diversity find jobs at Schwab; part of the program includes ensuring that neurodivergent employees work with managers who are trained to assist and guide.
• Holds an annual volunteer week during which employees can choose from programs that are in person or virtual. Employees also receive paid time off to volunteer.
