Kristen Doyle, partner and head of public funds at Aon Hewitt Investment Consulting, will be awarded the 2019 Distinguished Woman Investment Professional of the Year award Nov. 14 at the Women Investment Professionals' annual Trailblazers Dinner, said a news release from WIP.
As the leader of the public-sector business and member of the U.S. investment executive committee at Aon's investment consulting business, Ms. Doyle is responsible for new business development and thought leadership and led the integration of the Townsend Group, the real estate consulting firm that Aon acquired in 2017.
She is also a member of the board of governors at Opportunity International, a global non-profit organization that provides loans and other financial services to empower the world's most impoverished people to escape poverty.
"Kristen is a wonderful example of someone who started out in the back office and moved into a client-facing, business development and leadership role within her organization," said Susan Small, president of Women Investment Professionals, in the news release. "Kristen is known for both a high IQ and high EQ. She has shown that supporting women in this industry and putting in the time to mentor and to share her experiences is not only beneficial for those whom she mentors, but also rewarding, both personally and professionally."
The Distinguished Woman Investment Professional award seeks to recognize a leading figure for her contributions and achievements in the institutional investment management industry, according to WIP. Nominations for the award are put forth by WIP members and ultimately selected by the WIP board of directors.
