Nick Gilbert was named head of global fund services-Europe, Middle East and Africa at Northern Trust, effective April 1.
Gilbert will succeed Clive Bellows, who was recently named as president of Northern Trust's EMEA business. Bellows succeeds Teresa Parker, who is retiring, in this position said a spokesperson for Northern Trust.
In his new role, Gilbert will lead Northern Trust's business providing asset servicing solutions to global investment managers located in EMEA and for their funds domiciled in the region, said a Feb. 27 release. Such services include fund administration, global custody, investment operations outsourcing and data solutions, supporting clients' investment strategies across the full spectrum of asset classes.
Gilbert will report to Toby Glaysher, president of global fund services.
Gilbert currently serves as Northern Trust's chief strategy officer for asset servicing. Marc Mallet will succeed Gilbert in this role, said a spokesperson for the company.
Northern Trust had assets under custody/administration of $15.4 trillion, and assets under management of $1.4 trillion as of Dec. 31.
