Nichole Mann was named head of operations administration and Nora Tiller was named head of client solutions for Northern Trust's front-office solutions group.
Both are new positions, spokesman John O'Connell said in an email.
Ms. Mann, a senior vice president who will be responsible for data quality, operational data governance and process oversight and policy development, previously worked at several U.S.-based hedge funds. A news release did not name the hedge funds.
Ms. Tiller, a senior vice president who will further develop the group's client servicing model, was previously director, operations, for Georgetown University's investment office, which oversees the Washington-based university's $1.7 billion endowment.
