Washington State Investment Board, Olympia, is searching for an investment officer-private equity, said Chris Phillips, board spokesman, in an email.
It is a new position, which reports to Tom Ruggels, senior investment officer-private equity. The investment officer will assist with due diligence and implementation of the board's private equity strategy by identifying and recommending private equity general partnerships and their specific funds for the program, Mr. Phillips said.
The Washington State Investment Board oversees $128.1 billion in assets, including $99.4 billion in defined benefit plan assets. As of Dec. 31, the actual allocation to private equity was 22.1%.
