Paul Giles joined Mercer's consulting business Tuesday in Sydney as a partner and senior client manager, responsible for large-industry and public-sector clients.
The position is new, a Mercer spokeswoman said.
Mr. Giles comes to Mercer from Sydney-based Link Group, a leading provider of services in Australia's superannuation fund administration industry, where he served as general manager of legislation and regulatory reform, according to a Mercer news release.
A spokesman for Link Group couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
