Jim Mohler was named executive director of the $1.3 billion Chicago Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Retirement Fund, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. Mohler, who will join the pension fund June 17, replaces Susan Boutin, who retired April 30. Joseph F. Kennedy, a trustee with the pension fund, has been serving as acting executive director since Ms. Boutin's departure.
Mr. Mohler was previously executive director of the $4.2 billion Chicago Municipal Employees' Annuity & Benefit Fund. Stacey M. Ruffolo, deputy executive director, has been serving as interim executive director since Mr. Mohler's departure June 6.
Ms. Ruffolo said an advertisement for his replacement has been posted on the pension fund's website. The deadline for interested candidates to apply for the position is 5 p.m. CDT on June 28.
Messrs. Kennedy and Mohler could not be immediately reached to provide comment.
