Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System launched two searches: one for emerging market debt managers to run up to $800 million in a blended currency portfolio and another for emerging markets small-cap equities managers to run up to $230 million, according to RFPs issued by the $17.1 billion pension plan.
Responses to both RFPs are due at 4 p.m. PDT July 22. When the board will make selections has not yet been determined.
LACERS seeks one or more managers to run an emerging market debt local and hard currency blend strategy in separately managed accounts.
LACERS is also searching for one or more managers to run an actively managed emerging market small-cap equities investment strategy in separately managed accounts.
Current managers are invited to rebid. LACERS' general investment consultant NEPC is assisting.
The blended currency RFP and small-cap equity RFP are available on the NEPC's website.
