San Francisco City & County Employees' Retirement System announced commitments totaling $175 million in a report from CIO William J. Coaker Jr. for the upcoming board meeting Wednesday.
The $25.4 billion pension fund committed $100 million to natural resources fund EMR Capital Resources Fund III. The pension fund previously committed up to $100 million to EMR Capital Resources Fund II in 2016.
As of April 30, the actual allocation to real assets was 16.1%.
In private credit, SFERS committed $50 million to Falko Regional Aircraft Opportunities Fund II. It is the first commitment to Falko for the pension fund.
As of April 30, the actual allocation to private credit was 2.5%.
In private equity, the pension fund committed $25 million to Brazilian Private Equity Fund V (Ontario) Co-Invest Smartfit A, a private equity co-investment with Patria Investments, the first to the manager for the pension fund.
As of April 30, the actual allocation to private equity was 20.1%.
